The new Sam table lamp has a white fabric shade with a slightly tapered, drum-like shape. The base is a rounded, bulbous shape, also white, with a repeating pattern of small, textured finish.  The ovals create a slightly raised,  embossed effect on the base.  The ovals are arranged tightly together, almost like a tiled or overlapping pattern. A slight gold or light metallic trim can also be seen around the top edge of the shade and base.
